Worship is at the center of all we do at First Baptist Church.
It is intimate, inclusive, expansive, and celebratory. We utilize a blend of traditional and modern elements to help awaken our spirits to the ever-present, unconditional love of our God.
In our congregation, we all lead busy lives, but Sunday morning is time we set aside to slow down and listen for that which is deeper than words. We gather to encounter the Holy, to find belonging, to nurture our spirits, and to grow into more just and generous people.
From the moment one walks into our chapel he/she will notice the warmth of our people in the passing of the peace, the relevance of the preaching, the diversity of our music, and our willingness to wrestle with the hard questions of faith. Our faith is 2000 years old, but our thinking is not.
In the spirit of Jesus’ radical, inclusive hospitality, everyone is welcome to join us in Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month. No doubt is too strong, no faith is too weak to share in the feast that God sets before us. As we like to say, Jesus welcomed everyone. So do we.
